How to Create Your Own Business Letterhead Template Using Microsoft 2007

In this short tutorial, I will show you how to create your own business letterhead template in five easy steps, so anytime you have to create a letter, memo or any type of written communication that requires your business information it will all be ready when you open a template. Step 1. Go to Start and open Microsoft Word 2007, then go to the windows start button and go to “New”, then on the left hand side of the pop up window, under “Microsoft Office Online” search for “Stationary” and on the right hand side of the pop up window select “Letterhead” and hit the “Create” button.

Step 2. Go down a couple of rows and search for the template called “Business letterhead stationary (simple design),” select and click download button – located on the lower right hand side of pop up menu window.

Step 3. Once the template opens up, go ahead and enter your company information and logo. In this tutorial we are using fictitious information for a restaurant called Carmen’s Restaurant.

Step 4. Go to the window button, and select “Save As,” then click “Other Formats,” and select “Save as type,” go down and select “Word Template .dotx” and hit the save button. It will save the document as a template and place it in the new template folder within the Microsoft template folder in your computer.

Step 5. Now anytime you need to write a piece of communication that requires your company’s letterhead just Microsoft Word, click on the window button, go to New and under “Templates” select your template- in this tutorial we would look for “Carmenletterheadtemplate.”
