Step 4. Go to the window button, and select “Save As,” then click “Other Formats,” and select “Save as type,” go down and select “Excel Template .xltx” and hit the save button. It will save the document as a template and place it in the new template folder within the Microsoft template folder in your computer.

Step 5. Now anytime you need to do an invoice just open Excel, click on the window button, go to New and under “Templates” select your template- in this tutorial we would look for “Carmen’s Restaurant Invoice Template.” Finally you would enter the clients’ information, print it and send it. You will be done in a couple of minutes without having to recreate an invoice and format it with your company’s information.
